Social Enterprise and Sustainable Job Creation Programs
Opened in 2022, The Sierra Cares Bakery and Sustainable Food Program is the first in Makeni. It serves to provide food and sustainable income for some of our migrant women and also feeds the children in the Makeni Schools.
The garden program, including individual garden towers and farmland, with the launch in the spring of 2023. This will provide not only food for the SCF participants but also for those in the community.
SCF recognizes that a healthy community is nourished, where people do not have to worry about food instability and hunger.
